Emily's 1st Christmas

Christmas morning Sam helps Emily open all her loot!

Emily was extra good this year so Santa brought her a ball pool. Sure it may be as big as our family room but it was totally worth it!

At CBC the presents continue. Emily opens her present from Grandpa

Sam will make sure this snow suit sees the snow and Emily looks like she can't wait!

Emily enjoying some Christmas dinner

Sam's wildest dreams came true and it snowed Christmas day. So off sledding we went!

Christmas Eve

The kids are here! This year it was Chad & Kara and Rich & Jenn's year to have christmas in Utah. Christmas Eve morning we went to Magleby's Fresh for breakfast, french toast YUM!

That night we went up to CBC and sang carols with Jenn accompanying us beautifully on the piano. Then we lit the candles on the glockenspiel and Morlin read us the christmas story from Luke.

Can't Catch Me I'm the Ginger Bread Man!

Sam and I are working on starting new traditions for our family and we thought we'd try our hand at making a gingerbread house to kick of the Christmas festivities. Since we are rookies at this we thought we'd go with the kits. No one would know and it would look amazing surely!

Well... it err... umm... hmmm

Hirpy Bathday Becky

One year older and wiser too... or just one years old?!?! John and Karen hosted a lovely birthday bash for Becky and we all enjoyed some amazing food together. We love Becky so much. What a wonderful women.

And of course no birthday is complete with out an embarrasing photo shoot of baby's wearing reindeer antlers. How silly we were to think the ladies would sit through such humiliation. HOWEVER, come rain or shine you can ALWAYS rely on Steady Eddy to see you through. What an angel boy. He sat there for about 5 minutes and just smiled sporting some huge antlers. What a darling!

As things started winding down and clothes were coming off (who's? your probably wondering) Charlie and Emily thought they'd sneak off and redecorate the tree...

... Busted!!!

Miss Independent

Each meal time is a battle of wills between Emily and me. So sometimes for the sake of my sanity I give in and let her play with the container full of food...

Thanks Giving

This Thanks Giving we spent with Sam's family (of course) and had a wonderful time and some wonderful food! That night we all went to the Spanish Fork festival of lights and Emily and Charlie loved riding on the roof of the avalanche as we drove around. Don't worry Mum we were going 1 mph and were holding onto them. They were in a trance as we drove by all the lights. Here are some pics of Emily sporting some bat wings (as Uncle John calls them) whilst chowing down on her Thanks Giving dinner

Nothing beats a six-wheeler ride after a good meal

What a Small World

A mutual friend of mine (Eliza) tied the knot with one of the Oldham's life long friend's son, Kent Norris. Congrats to the happy couple. What a gorgeous pair!

AND... to make things even better I bumped into my best friend Jenny's sister Mindy and her new husband Adam! It was sooo great to see her again and meet Adam. They are such a cute couple. Congrats to you both!

Trick or Treat

Just a few pics of Emily's first halloween. The picture of the three amigos was the best I could get. Emily was cranky and Charlie kept taking off. Bless Eddy's little tiger cotton socks, he just sat there good as gold smiling away for the camera. What a darling! A vendor of Liberty Press crocheted pumpkin hats for the nibblers so we did a little photo shoot with fellow pumpkins.

Flying KTM!!!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's Sam! Out on Uncle Mo's plantation (AKA the farm) Sam and Will built some sweet jumps. So naturally when you combine Sam's two loves, dirt and dirtbikes this is the outcome. What a hottie!

Autumn Ride

Spanish Fork Canyon is beautiful this time of year so we rode the fourwheelers up Lake Fork and had us a hot dog roast and grilled cheese sandwiches (thanks to Tiff). Sam and I were hoping Emily just might drift off on the ride over but no, she wanted to be front and center and help Sam steer. The faster he'd go the louder she'd growl. It would seem Sam's dream of buying Emily a pink dirt bike is looking more likely!

April Bunches

This was a proud moment for me now that Emily's hair finally fits in bunches... sort of
